Our Story
Who We Are
Timiza Youth Initiative is a Community Based Organization (CBO) formed in 2021 by a group of young volunteers. The Organization is driven by a human-centered design for solutions to problems faced by vulnerable and marginalized groups in Kilifi County. We are at the forefront to ensure children, young women, and youths get empowered through our core thematic programs including: Health & Gender, climate change, peace & security, and disability inclusion.

Our Objectives
- To ensure that individuals have access to accurate and age appropriate information about sexual and reproductive health
- Encourage community involvement and participation in climate action through volunteer opportunities, community activities, and citizen science initiatives
- Advocating for gender equality, women's empowerment, and sexual reproductive health education
- Raise community understanding of the security challenges through educating and training members on conflict prevention and resolution tactics
- Promotion of education and skills enhancement among women and young people
- Providing a channel of advocacy for issues affecting the communities
- Inclusion and equal participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of society. This will include ensuring their access to education, healthcare,transportation, and other essential services.
