Widespread gender-based violence, including domestic abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking, undermines the safety and security of individuals, particularly women and girls in kilifi county. Timiza youth initiative aims to empower the community with gender and crime prevention programs.

Timiza promotes gender peace and security by including all relevant parties at all levels, from the local to the national, in maintaining safety and stability. Our goals include eradicating gender-based violence, advancing equality, and making sure that everyone lives in a secure and empowered environment. Timiza Youth collaborates closely with other organizations that address similar issues, and they also get along well with the security personnel that they encounter on a daily basis with members of the community at large. This fosters a close relationship between the security personnel and the locals, which guarantees that any incidents of insecurity are promptly reported to the security teams.
